Marta Kuc-Czarnecka, PhD completed her doctoral studies at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń in 2015. She is deputy head of the Department of Statistics and Economics at the Faculty of Management and Economics, Gdańsk University of Technology. She co-founded Rethinking Economics Gdańsk and is actively involved in Edward Lipinski Foundation to promote pluralism in economic sciences. In addition, she is a long-standing member of the Regional Studies Association, the Polish Statistical Association, the Polish Economic Society, the PTS Section for Classification and Data Analysis and the European Regional Science Association. At the present moment, in her scientific work, she is focused on synthetic indicators, the ethics of quantification, and sustainable development and its methods of quantification. Since 2023, she has been the leading specialist in the Macroeconomic Team of the Institute of Finance.
