Students from schools in Tuszyn, Walbrzych and Rogów won the second edition of the “Finance? What is that?” competition organised by the Institute of Finance. The award went to the facility in Syców. Interesting educational awards await the winning schools and their students.
The completion addressed to pupils in grades 1-3 of primary schools involved activities related to finance, economics and saving. The lesson incorporating content materials offered by the Institute of Finance concluded with the preparation of artwork depicting the issues discussed.
“We are glad that the second edition of our competition for the youngest children has attracted so much interest from schools from all over Poland. As the Institute of Finance, we see a great need for the development of economic education in an accessible manner. One of our statutory activities is to support educational processes, so we are all the more pleased that the knowledge of what money is, how it is earned and what to do to save it will remain with students after the lessons have ended”, stressed Łukasz Chrobak, Director of the Institute of Finance.
Schools whose projects have been awarded will receive, among other things, educational kits containing the book “ABC Ekonomii, pierwsze kroki w świecie finansów”, on-line training for teachers with a demonstration lesson, and teacher packs. Teachers from winning schools will also be able to take a knowledge test at the end of the training and, in the event of passing, will receive a special certificate.
The Institute of Finance also provided for individual awards for the authors of the winning projects and gifts for their classmates whose works did not win.
