One of the elements of the sixth edition of the Vision for Development Forum in Gdynia was a panel on “The impact of crises on the third decade of the 20th century” moderated by Katarzyna Obłąkowska, PhD, an expert from the Institute of Finance.
The Vision for Development Forum has for years been an important event on the map of congresses and economic events in our country. This year, the Institute of Finance took an active part in the event by organising a panel discussion focusing on the events of the last few years and having a real impact on the global economy.
“We are proud to participate in such an important event as the Vision for Development Forum. The forum addresses various topics related to the Polish economy, also including an exchange of experiences in the fields of administration and business. These are extremely important matters” – said Łukasz Chrobak, Director of the Institute of Finance.
The Vision for Development Forum constitutes an opportunity to exchange diverse experiences and to meet eminent experts in their fields, including Katarzyna Obłąkowska, PhD, Head of the Behavioural Analysis and Social Research Team at the Institute of Finance.
“The crises that have so far occurred in the 21st century – financial, pandemic, migration, war, energy, inflation, as well as demographic and terrorist crises – brought a series of major economic challenges and redefined priorities in Europe and Poland. The global and European economies are changing before our eyes, with security, governance and development challenges. We need a lively discussion today in order to develop and implement solutions that are appropriate in the new reality and in the face of crises”, said Katarzyna Obłąkowska, PhD.
The Institute of Finance was also present at last year’s Vision for Development Forum, during which the development of the payment system in Poland in the context of changes in IT security and digitalisation was discussed.
