Agnieszka Tłaczała, PhD, from the Institute of Finance, was the speaker at the conference – “Contemporary economic issues from the perspective of sustainability, profitability, ethics, security”. The event was held under the patronage of our Institute.
The event was organised by the Warsaw University of Technology and Economics. The first Academic Conference of the local Department of Finance and Accounting was held on 13 June. Among the topics discussed during the panel discussions were issues such as sustainable economic development, resource allocation in the economy and business ethics.
“I am glad that, as the Institute of Finance, we were able to take patronage of this event. The conference at the University of Technology and Economics provided an excellent opportunity to juxtapose the views of specialists and researchers from different universities and centres, including our Institute. We continually want to contribute to the development of the discourse on the Polish economy”, said Łukasz Chrobak, Director of the Institute of Finance.
In several debates organised as part of the conference, both academic staff and individuals associated with administration participated. An important objective of the event was to promote financial literacy.
The first panel devoted to capital instruments, ethics or tax law featured Agnieszka Tłaczała, PhD, from the Institute of Finance. Her presentation dealt with developments in the autonomy of balance sheet and tax law.
“There is no doubt that the conference touched upon many very current topics., pointing out the problems and challenges of the financial world, including the issues of ethics in accounting and taxation, which are so important at the present time”, commented Agnieszka Tłaczała, PhD.
