Date: 1 March 2023
Where does the money come from? Who earns it? What happens to the money earned? Which expenses are necessary and which are not? Not only will the questions soon be answered, but the drawings made by primary school pupils will be displayed! For the second time, the Institute of Finance is organising a competition for the youngest to promote knowledge in an important area of life.
Following the example of last year’s edition, teachers of registered facilities will receive a worksheet with ideas for implementing the activities. After the lesson, the pupils’ task will be to prepare an artwork in any method and theme related to economics and finance.
The first edition of the “Finance? What is that?” was warmly received by teachers, parents and the children themselves. One of the main objectives of the Institute of Finance is to cooperate with the world of science at all possible stages. Economics and finance are among the most important elements of everyday life, which is why we are pleased that, in addition to cooperation with academic centres and ongoing research, we can reach the youngest in an accessible and fun way,” emphasises Łukasz Chrobak, Director of the Institute of Finance.
Four winners will be awarded, separately for each grade 1–3 of primary schools, as well as one author of the most interesting work regardless of the age category. We look forward to receiving drawings from 1-27 March and the full rules and regulations for the second edition of the ‘Finance? What’s that?” can be found at link.
We will be giving away exclusive prizes to the best authors and their schools, including book packs, support for teacher training and teacher packs!
The first edition of the competition organised by the Institute of Finance was aimed at kindergartens. At that time, the competition committee honoured and awarded 10 facilities, of which three kindergartens were on the podium: Local Government Kindergarten No. 176 in Kraków, 4 Pory Roku Non-public Kindergarten in Ciele and Miejsce Kindergarten No. 2 in Bochnia.
We encourage participation and wish the young economists and their teachers the best of luck!
